The institute FAPS established a collaboration with the institute LTD to start the Bionics Center, "Bionicum", in the innovative context of artificial muscles. Bionicum center is constituted by the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Applied Sciences-GSO in Nuremberg.
